Sheltered Instruction is considered a best practice for lesson planning and instructional delivery that includes the elements of bulding background, giving comprehensible input, strategies, student interaction, practice and application, lesson delivery, and review and assessment. These components should appear in all lesson plans using Sheltered Instruction.
